This weekend is supposed to be pretty darn rainy and the temps look like they're going to dip down low enough to want jeans (and make soup and perhaps binge watch netflix!), so I came up with this little weekend wear outfit that I'd love to sport this weekend. It looks so easy and comfortable yet totally put together, and could easily take me from errands to lounging to casual drinks with friends! 

I'm really wanting this J.Crew tee - comfy & casual but those ruffle sleeves just make it! SO cute.

This weekend is Shivering Songs, a music festival that takes place every January - it always comes at just the right time, after you've been able to take a few weeks off from holiday boozing/indulgences but just before you're starting to go absolutely stir crazy from staying in with Netflix for a few weeks in a row. It's a great chance to be social, catch some great music and have a few beverages! 

It's been ages since I've done a "weekend wear" post, so I thought I'd do one for what I wish I was wearing this weekend! Equal parts cozy and cute, this outfit is perfect with the cozy striped sweater, edgy coated denim and super warm winter coat for when you're running from venue to venue (usually in -20 degree weather and lots of snow!)

SO - I had this post all ready to go on Saturday and then forgot to schedule it. WHOOPS! I just realized when I went to my blog this morning and it wasn't there. So here we've got a belated weekend wear post! ;)

The week was a short one thanks to last Monday being a holiday here in Canada, but long weekends always make me crave the next weekend all that much more! I haven't done a weekend wear post in quite a while, but it's always fun to dream up little outfit combinations incorporating wishlist items with a few I already own to serve as both inspiration to myself and to you! 

I own this Free People top in white and I absolutely love it. I love the bright colors in the print of the black one though, and if it goes on sale I may end up scooping it up, too! Paired with denim cut offs and a cute pair of lace up wedge booties (here, and I love these also!) along with pretty classics like a gold Kate Spade watch & Michael Kors bag, it's the perfect spring weekend outfit.

Happy weekend! It's been such a busy summer and will continue to be a very busy fall, so I'm taking advantage of this weekend with no plans to lay low, relax, rest and spend some quality "me" time. The above outfit is still way more "done up" than I will realistically get this weekend, but I thought it was such a cute weekend look. The printed sweater and the comfy textured slip-ons are just too perfect for weekend wear.

Happy long weekend, friends! After a very busy summer filled with weddings, baby showers and rugby games galore, I am so happy to be spending this weekend at home without any real plans. A few social things here and there, but no major commitments! The fella and I spent a leisurely Saturday going to the farmer's market, wandering around downtown, running a few errands and lounging around eating pizza. It's been a good kick off to this restful weekend! 

Since most of my time will be spent at home, running errands or just hanging out, the above would be my ideal outfit to be wearing this weekend! Comfy, cute and casual.

Happy Saturday! It's a beautiful, sunshine-y day here and I am looking forward to soaking up as much sun as possible the next two days. 

I'm not totally sure what the weekend holds just yet, but this outfit would take me just about anywhere - from roaming around the farmer's market, to  brunch, to beach, to drinks in the evening. The dress, while stunningly beautiful and whimsical, is way out of my price range, so I found another super pretty option for you here & here for less than $40! 

And how cute is this Mink Pink Bikini?! So in love with the cut and print.

It's been a while since I've done a weekend wear post but summer means weekends are filled with fun... parties, bbq's, weddings, and social gatherings galore! This weekend I've got a little birthday gathering at a local pub for a friend of mine & if it wasn't gray and rainy, this is what I'd absolutely love to be wearing tonight! A loose fitting but fun dress (lots of room for beer & apps!), high wedges, simple stud earrings and a fun clutch! This could take me anywhere the night may lead, including the dancefloor (which it just may!). I'm a little bit in love with this Gentle Fawn dress - tropical palm prints and tigers? C'mon! Too fun! The polka dot number would be fun, too! And just in case the arm holes dip down a little too low (which they often do with this style of dress) I'd layer this sweet little lace bandeau underneath - which I actually just picked up at the mall this afternoon!

Okay, so this one is a bit of a stretch. We have about 4 feet of snow on the ground, and it's nearly impossible to cross the street without stepping in giant slushy puddles, so nude suede flats are definitely not a realistic option right now. BUT, the beauty of this post is that this is what I'd like to be wearing this weekend, and is no way a reflection of what I'm actually wearing. ;) When I find myself dreaming of spring, I keep being drawn to pinks, nudes, and pale distressed denim. I think you'll be seeing a lot of it this spring around here! Throw in a gorgeous tote bag, a statement watch and pretty little diamond stud earrings and you're all set to go!

I'm not sure what the rest of the weekend holds (besides waking up at the crack of dawn to watch Canada in the gold medal hockey game, duh!) but I'm hoping for equal parts relaxing and fun!

Happy weekend, friends! I hope it's off to a good start for you all! Mine has been pretty low key so far - last night I spent cuddled up watching a movie, and started my Saturday morning off with a hot yoga class and trip to the farmer's market for a smoothie. I have no set plan or agenda for the rest of the weekend, but would love to cozy up in something like this - comfortable, edgy and feminine all at once! And now that it's officially February, I thought I'd get a into the Valentine's spirit a little bit with this amazing Markus Lupfur sweater.

Happy weekend! I haven't done a "weekend wear" post in a while and thought I'd get back on track! I have very few plans that even involve me leaving my house this weekend, so I'd love to cozy up in something like this - a cute novelty sweatshirt like this one by Song of Style for Eluxe, simple skinnies, cute flats, a few pops of pink and a mug full of green tea! This outfit is comfy enough for lounging around the house and more than appropriate should I need to run any errands or meet up with a girl friend.

As I mentioned before, I don't have much on the go, and I'm not quite sure what the weekend will hold, so my "what I wish I was wearing" outfit this week is a casual but put together ensemble that could take me anywhere from errand running to a lunch date to a drink with friends. Happy weekend! Today I'll be spending my time on the sidelines of the rugby field watching the fella play in a playoff game, but come evening we'll be having (hopefully) celebratory drinks & this is what I'd love to be wearing if I could make an outfit come through the computer screen. This weekend is all about high temps and drinks with friends! On these kinds of days, it's best to go with an easy day to night look - because when you plant yourself on a hot sunny downtown patio, you just might still find yourself there when evening comes, and while a sun dress and boat shoes felt like the perfect afternoon ensemble, you might want something a little more put together for night! A simple and sleek cotton dress, polished sandals and fun colorful accessories are the perfect balance and will keep you feeling cool and polished without ever feeling under or over dressed!

As I mentioned yesterday, it's a long weekend here in Canada and I am keeping things pretty low key - running errands, watching the fella play rugby, going to the market, etc! The temps are also pretty cool today, so this would be my ideal running around town outfit! Comfy sneaks (I am obsessed with the idea of white converse all-star's lately... must grab a pair for summer!), easy denim, a cute tee and a gorgeous blazer, bag and jewels to finish it off!
