Sears Spring LOOK! Report

It would have been very fun to do this shoot frolicking around in the sunshine with budding tulips and green grass, however my reality is currently seven foot snow banks, so I decided to spend the weekend playing dress up indoors in these amazing new spring pieces from Sears! Admittedly, I haven't browsed Sears in quite some time, but these pretty prints make me think I'll have to make them part of my shopping rotation!

The loose fitting floral print tee is easily my favorite piece. I can see myself throwing that on with dress pants for work or with shorts in the summer time - so versatile, and so comfy! Speaking of comfy, these super stretch printed capris are also incredibly comfy – they are so stretchy but snap right back to hug your form perfectly! They would be so perfect for the office, and could also easily be worn for a night on the town with a quick change of top & shoes. The printed shorts & matching jacket would be amazing with a strappy high heeled sandal, but tights are still required here for at least another month or two. Sigh! Another favorite is the sleeveless polka dot blouse – tucked into a high-waisted skirt or left long over black skinnies, this top would be the a perfect addition to your office attire.

The main theme I noticed with this new collection? Versatility! These pieces are all so fun to mix & match and can take you from work to play in no time! I’m loving the fun prints and the classic shapes of all of these items. There are so many more gorgeous items in the LOOK! report, so be sure to check that out as well!

Ahh, spring! Bring on the bright colors & light fabrics! I am so ready for it.

A look back at 2014

Today is the last day of 2014! Hard to believe! 2014 was infinitely better than 2013, so I can only hope that life keeps heading in that direction!

I hope you are all ringing in the new year in whichever way makes you the happiest and that 2015 gets off to a great start. I'm spending NYE with my guy and a pair of friends, cozied in with wine & eats and I am truly excited for a nice, low key evening to kick off the new year!

Thank you for all your love & support in 2014 and here's to the best 2015 we could ever imagine! xoxo!

When it comes to boots, I almost always stick to black. But this year, I thought I'd mix things up and try a pair of tan ones. Enter this pair of Sam Edelman Penny boots, and I am in love! These are so incredibly soft & comfortable and I love that they add a little something different to my mostly black outfits. ;)

I'm also obsessed with this new scarf from Sole Society. Infinity/snood styles are my absolute favorite, and this one is so soft, cozy and warm. I've been throwing it on top of just about everything lately!

Wanna know a secret? I am wearing the exact same outfit I wore in my last outfit post, because I completely forgot that I already photographed it. The only difference on this day was the boots, and switching out the necklace for the scarf. WHOOPS! But see how a few simple changes can make an outfit look totally different? Ha!

I hope you're all having a great week! Happy FRIDAYYYY!

How can it possibly be Thursday already?! This week has flown! As I mentioned on Monday, the fella & I bought our first house!! We closed officially on Friday, spent the weekend painting, and then moved in mostly Tuesday & Wednesday. It is still complete chaos and we are still trying to clean the last of our old town house rental and I am so looking forward to just being done with that so we can focus our efforts on our new home! Exciting times!

This was the only outfit I managed to photograph last week! I'm sporting a few new-ish pieces here - I've been on the hunt for a black & white striped long sleeved tee for far too long, so I snapped this one up immediately when I saw it at Joe Fresh. I also recently picked up this black skater skirt from Zara, as this is an absolute staple in my fall & winter wardrobe! I have one but find it a little bit too short sometimes, so I ordered this one with the hopes of it being a bit longer and I'm really happy with it!

And last but certainly not least is this gorgeous new Riley tote from Vince Camuto. I have been carrying this around non stop & just love it! I wore it in this post, too, but didn't have many photos I was happy with so wanted to share it with you again! I wear it a lot as a cross body bag too, which is super convenient! Keep an eye on their blog, The Crest, for a feature of this outfit!

I hope you all are having a great week so far! I'm looking forward to catching up with all of your blogs as we get settled! xo!

#FearlesslyFashionable

Top & Skirt: Joe Fresh, Shoes: Steven c/o Shopbop, Bag: Coach, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: Banana Republic & Stella & Dot, Earrings: Kate Spade, Sunglasses: c/o Sunglass Warehouse

Fearless fashion can mean many things to many people. When I was asked to show my own fearless fashion, I initially felt a little bit nervous thinking I was going to really have to step outside the box - to be "bold" and "wild" and "edgy",which, in truth, aren't really me.

And then I realized that fearless fashion is all about being unafraid to express yourself - whoever that self may be! Whether you're a wild child or all about the classics, being fearlessly fashionable is about staying true to your own style no matter what the current trends are. That said, it also means having a little bit of fun with your style and not being afraid to try new things! For me, that usually means staying pretty classic when it comes to my outfit, and then shaking things up with fun nails, accessories and shoes, which is what I did here!

I paired a simple silk blouse with a fun printed skater skirt, and dressed them up with black and gold nails, ankle strap pumps and plenty of gold jewelry. These photos were taken back when the days were still warm enough to wear something like this!

I would define my style as feminine and classic, and it's no secret to anyone that black and gold is my absolute favorite combo. Even if current trends are pushing in a different direction, I feel best when I stay true to my signature style. Another fearless fashion tip? Don't be afraid to repeat your faves! I've definitely worn all of these pieces before. But they're me, and I love them, so I'm going to wear them again and again!

How do you stay fearlessly fashionable?

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had fantastic weekends. Mine was restful, leisurely and somewhat productive, which is mostly what I hoped it would be!

I wore this last week on a day that started out very rainy and then turned out to be quite sunny. I'm not going to lie, I was a little bit excited to see rain in the forecast so I could wear my new hunter boots. They were difficult to photograph on this day, but I'm sure they'll be making many more appearances here!

I also broke out this gorgeous new bag from Vince Camuto, which you'll be seeing more of soon! I absolutely love it. I'm not used to carrying big bags anymore, as I seem to grab my smaller crossbody bags most of the time day to day, but this one has so much room & I just love it!

I was feeling fussy while I was getting dressed the morning I wore this. It was Tuesday after a long weekend. I was sleepy. I didn't want to go back to work. I wanted to stay in jammies and this outfit more or less felt like I was! Oversized, cute & cozy. It felt like a winner. The fella laughed at me when I came downstairs in this, finally, as it was the 4th thing he had seen me put on that morning.

I had been needing black flats for the better part of a year now and finally ordered this cute quilted pair from Zara! I'm always a little nervous that quilted footwear will look bulky but I am super happy with these ones, especially for being under $40! I'll be happily sporting these throughout the fall!

I also cut my hair! It was looking so long and uneven and so I chopped a good 3 inches off last week to freshen it up. I still can't decide what to do with color. Keep riding this ombre out since it's so low maintenance or blonde it up again. ;) Decisions!

Happy Wednesday!
