My Lady Loves

Saturday was a really lovely day. My two favorite girls, Katie & Kristin came down to visit me in my new town! 

We went for lunch and then to Je Suis Prest for a bit of shopping! Always a good idea to stuff yourself full of philly chicken sandwiches & fries and then go try on dresses, right? I did pick up a super adorable BB Dakota denim jacket there that I am sooo excited to wear this spring! 

This was a VERY simple outfit meant for a day wandering about. I wasn't feeling particularly photogenic, as my face is also a little swollen due to super annoying wisdom teeth that need to be taken out. Gah. I have been puffy & in pain for days now. Really must suck it up and get them out! This was a very amusing photoshoot though, and BarbBarbBarb came along to witness our photoshoot silliness! (And hold all of our jackets & purses! Sorry for the abuse, Barb!)

I was so excited that I only had to go a single week without seeing my pals. Really, how awesome are they? xoxo.

Meet the Bestie!

Hey friends, meet Kristin! I introduced her to you briefly yesterday, but we got together for a little photoshoot the other day & I wanted to share!

If you haven't already, be sure to check out her new blog, Doll Parade! She's my real life pal & has just entered into the blogging world!

It amazes me how much more fun it is to take photos with someone! Way less awkward, and way more laughing! I didn't even notice when people walked by - when I'm alone with my tripod taking photos of myself, I am highly aware of every single person who passes by, and I'm left feeling silly and awkward! But we just clicked away & had so much fun doing it! Can't wait for future photoshoots!

I mentioned in a previous post about winning a Beso giveaway through Fab Blab where I picked up a red BB Dakota floral dress - these were the other part of my prize! I had been eyeing these Sam Edelman shoes for ages, and when they went on sale for $79 (down from $199!) I could not resist. (Psssst - they still have lots of them!) Unfortunately I didn't get them until late November, so I haven't really had much chance to wear them due to snow & wet, but I'm very excited to break them out this spring!

I never really do posts this way - I usually write everything at the top & then post photos... which do you guys prefer? Do you like it broken up like this or all the text at the top? Vacation is officially over, back to work today - definitely hard to adjust after lounging around for the last 13 days. Sigh!

New Years Eve

A quick little New Years Eve photoshoot, in which both subject & photographer had already consumed multiple glasses of wine! We went to a small gathering at my friend Kristin's house (see below!) which was very nice! It was very amusing doing a blog photoshoot in front of a room full of friends, but made for some fun laughing ones! 

After eyeing this skirt all over the place for months now, it appeared under the Christmas tree from my dear Daddio (love that he went full out Modcloth for most of my gifts! Go Dad go!) The sparkly waistband and flowy, flirty skirt made it perfect for a NYE party!
