Okay, so "back to school" is pretty far removed from my life... It's been many, many years since I've gotten to dress up in fresh back to school clothes, but there was something about sporting this very fall-esque outfit on a late summer day that made me feel like I really was heading back to school. (And Annick & I had a good laugh at me "waiting for the school bus" on the bench!)
I teamed up with American Eagle to bring you this back to school look, based around styling this pair of kick boot jeans. This bootcut style really took me out of my element, because I haven't worn anything but skinnies since I was in school. I really wasn't sure how to go about styling these, and eventually ended up with this edgy meets boho look. I really love this faux leather sleeved jacket - it will be perfect for early fall days! And looking back I should have paired these jeans with heels, but the leopard flats were too cute to pass up.

I love that pair of denim on you! As much as I'm also partial to skinnies, there's something so relaxed about a boot cut! And yes, oh my goodness did I ever laugh at those bench pictures! They turned out so cute! Lil Kate, waiting for the bus!
